 birthaA special order for O who turns 10 today!!  She loves the color purple so we added some sprinkles and instead of Red Velvet we made her Purple Velvet.  Hope she had an awesome party!!!!

 

Are you ready for some football??

Cupcakes that is.  As the playoffs wind down, we are getting closer to the Super Bowl.  Since I was born on Super Bowl Sunday, I love to watch the game and throw a big party!! These football cupcakes wold look great at your Super Bowl Party!!  We are taking pre-orders for them. And as soon as the teams are official, I will make some team cupcakes too.

I also created a contact form {under Contact Us} You can use the form to say Hi, ask a question, place an order, or if you have tried our cupcakes then send us some feedback. What was great, what wasn't so great, what should we change??    Also if you have an idea for a cupcake flavor that you don't see on the menu send us a note and we'll see what we can come up with. And if I use your idea maybe I'll name the cupcake after you or have you help name it.

Baking, Baking, Baking

I decided to make our Pumpkin Pie cupcakes again.  They are so yummy!!  This time I made a whipped cream frosting {just for DJ!!} and that is the perfect frosting!! Since I made more than I wanted to eat, I brought the cupcakes and shared them with some local people by our shop and my friend Lisa.

Some how I forgot to take any pictures of the finished products but here are some good ones of the batter and the minis right before I popped them in the oven.

I met up with Lisa to discuss art for the shop!!  She is an amazing photographer and has graciously agreed to let us hang some of her photographs in the shop.  They will be for sale so when we open if you see one you love just email me and we can arrange the sale.  Also we are looking for some more local artists that would be interested in hanging art on our walls.  Email us if you are interested.

Hope all of you had a happy and safe New Year.  We are so excited because we are about 3 weeks away from opening!!!!  We are looking forward to bringing something new and exciting to downtown Jonesborough in 2011. We can't wait for all of you to stop in and see the shop when we open.  I will keep you updated on the official date of our grand opening as we get closer.  Here's to a great 2011 for you and us!!
